Voltpost seeks a highly motivated and hands-on financial professional to join our dynamic and growing team as Manager of Financial Operations. You will be our team’s first financial hire.

This role will play a pivotal part in shaping the financial health of our organization as this person will be responsible for financial and accounting activities. This position will report to Voltpost Co-Founder & Chief Operating Officer.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Reporting and Analysis: Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, in compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements.
  • Internal Controls and Cost Management: Establish and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure the accuracy of financial data, while identifying and mitigating financial risks.
  • Financial Compliance and Audit: Interface with auditors and regulators as it applies to government and financial audits.
  • Customer Project and Grant Proposal Budgeting: Develop accurate and realistic budgets and financial projections for customer and grant proposals in collaboration with program managers and proposal writers.
  • Customer and Grant Financial Management: Oversee financial aspects of customer and grant implementation, including monitoring expenses, tracking funding disbursements, and ensuring compliance with approved budgets and donor guidelines.

About You:

  • You have a minimum of seven years of diversified experience in financial and management accounting (monthly closings, general ledger, financial reporting, expense management, budgeting, cash flow management) with a minimum of 2+ years of experience at a medium to Big 4 CPA firm.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide insights.
  • Advanced proficiency in financial management software; MS Office Suite, (particularly Excel), Quickbooks Online, Airbase, Expense Management platforms, Banking Platforms, or similar platforms.
  • People describe you as having excellent communication skills, attention to detail, ability to multi-task, and managing multiple stakeholders and resources to ensure successful cross-company financial controls.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.

Bonus Points

  • Experience in project-based private sector and grant budgeting and administration.
  • Experience in the built environment, energy, or public sector is preferred.

Compensation:

Voltpost is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The annual salary range for this role is $125,000 - $150,000. Compensation is determined within the range based on your qualifications and experience. Our total compensation package also includes benefits and equity in Voltpost.
